On Saturday, October 20, 2018 St Paul's Second Century Capital Campaign was kicked off with great news at a celebration party at Tiff's in Morris Plains, NJ. About 40 parishioners attended the event! The gathering had a festive air about it, especially after Tom Jones and Rob Whitestone, co-chairs of the campaign, announced that more than $239,000 of the minimum goal of $243,000 had already been pledged. For St. Paul's, this means that the most needed repairs to the church building can be made. These include restoring the west wall and belfry, repairing the cement frames around the church windows and completing the remediation of drainage issues. With such a wonderful advance commitment, we're striving to reach our challenge goal of $283,000, which will be used for additional masonry pointing work on the west wall. The event was a true celebration of the good news that there will be sufficient funds to restore and maintain the church building so that it can be used for generations to come. A great time was had by all!
