Outreach

St. Paul's reaches out to the local and surrounding community in many ways.  Some of our projects include:

Habitat for Humanity Each year we gather volunteers and set a date to help out with a local Habitat build project. This fall we'll be working with Morris Habitat for Humanity at their build site in Succasunna on Saturday, November 2. Watch for more details on how you can be part of this work day.

Green Vision  This organization provides students and adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to work and learn.  They focus on electronics recycling and provide both a laboratory for the clientele and funds to help support the programs.   Parishioners are encouraged to give monetary donations as well as used electronic equipment.  The organization also provides speakers to talk about the benefits of their program.

Interfaith Food Pantry Each week we collect food for our neighbors and donations are delivered weekly to the food pantry. And during the summer, St. Paul's maintains a few plots at the Morris Plains Community Garden to grow and donate fresh vegetables to IFP.

Morris Plains Recycling  Doing our part to be good stewards, two to three times a year parishioners assist at the Morris Plains recycling center. Our next scheduled volunteer days in 2019 are Saturday, September 7 and Saturday, November 9, starting at 8:30 am.  All are welcome!.

Refugee Assistance Morris Partners (RAMP)  St. Paul's was a founding member of this local group helping to resettle Syrian and Afghani refugees in Morris County. To date, four families have been supported to establish new lives here in Morris County.

Bi-monthly collections/donations are made to various groups in the Morris County area and beyond.  Examples include Jersey Battered Women's Service, Community Soup Kitchen, Habitat for Humanity, Episcopal Relief and Development, RAMP, and our diocesan Alleluia Fund.

Morris Plains Memorial Day Parade A long-standing tradition, we join the community marching in this wonderful annual parade.
